We just got four week-old chicks from our local farm store yesterday and are wondering if we still have time to add one more to that flock. Any guesses as to -- if we went back to the farm store tomorrow and got one more from the same "delivery" -- would the four we already have gang up on them...

We just realized that our Speckled Sussex hens have mites, and we're working on getting that all taken care of. In the mean time, we have a lot of eggs in the fridge from the time when they've (presumably) been infested. Are the eggs still okay to eat?
