    Is this BUMBLEFOOT?

Is this Bumble foot? There is no scab like the photos of bumble foot online- maybe it is an early case? Any advice welcomed! Thank you. The hen is fine other than limping.

    Worms?

When I let them out I didn’t notice anyone acting off- but there is 56 total so could have missed something- I’ll take another look. We feed our own ground feed, which they been eating for 2 years. They have oyster shells available as well- however last week I was out so they went maybe a week...

However the question I have now is I had a hen go broody today and I honestly don’t want to wait the 21 plus days...

    Candling frequency

It’s fine, like you said the hen gets off of them as well. Personally I only candle at day 10 to check if they are fertile then again at day 18 to see if they developed.

Help with sexing 2 barnyard mixes

Yes that’s why I’m so confused. They look like slow maturing rooster at times. There is 5 other roosters that hatched with them so same age and they are very very obvious.

Help with sexing 2 barnyard mixes

Yes this was along the lines of what I was thinking as well. We have hatched a lot of barnyard mix chicks and like you said the reddish color on the feathers is common in males.. the only female we got with the reddish feather is this hen and it’s not that much.
