What do you do with the eggs?

What is your location?

I added a couple of hens to my flock a couple of weeks ago. Brought them home one evening, they laid eggs the next morning. Not much chance of a rooster when you buy them at point-of-lay.

I give my girls their grit on a plate separate from their food bowl. If they scratch it out, I figure they’ll find it on the ground, if they want it.

Several people asking what is PDZ and I’m wondering the same, not seeing an answer. A couple of posts linked to the same marketing material.

What breed are you working with? How many hens and roosters?

Lots of good info here. I agree Except for the advice to peel the potatoes. Well, if they’re green, I’d peel but otherwise no peeling. My dad always said the best nutrients are just under the peel.

Did you get some necropsy feedback about your flock dying?

Google says a lot of things, some right, some wrong. Mostly I don’t give my chickens onions and garlic because they don’t like them much. But if there’s some onion in whatever they might otherwise like, I don’t worry about it and they don’t either. But when I’m cutting the tops and bottom off...
