Thank you, done this and there is lots of movement, managed to do it quickly, so humidity didn’t drop below 75% and egg is the right way up again (which it wasn’t before)
3 out of 4 eggs in my incubator have hatched this morning, right on schedule!
I’m a bit concerned about egg number 4, because the other chicks seem to have pecked a little of the shell off midway down the egg, membrane still intact, no sign of movement.
The other chicks are still in there and...
The serama bantam is red, gold and black, the Appenzeller is Silver Spangled, the Legbar is a Cream Legbar and the pekin bantam is red millefleur.
The Mom is buff, but she had a dark brown sister.
Hi all, this little 3 week old’s Mom is a Serama Bantam, I think the Dad is my Appenzeller Spitzhauben, due to the grey legs, but I also have a Serama bantam cockerel, a pekin bantam cockerel and a Cream Legbar. What do you think?
Also, do you think hen or cockerel?
No, they hatched under my broody and I mainly saw white shells, there were some blue fragments, but a blue egg had been laid in the box when she’d left the nest for food earlier in the day and had then been smashed in there, so I can’t be sure
Hi all, I’m pretty certain that 4 of these are White Leghorn/Cream Legbar crosses, then the fifth one I’m totally unsure of!
Any idea of sex?
Also any idea of breed of the odd one out?!
I have a cream legbar cockerel, an Appenzeller cockerel, a pekin bantam cockerel and a serama bantam cockerel...
