    Picked up some olive egger chicks from tractor supply over the summer and from what I remember they were supposed to be all pullets. But we all know how that is. Anyway, one of them has a silkie feather gene! I dont know how common it is, but its totally an olive egger type- not a silkie at all...

    She didnt make it. It kept coming back out and i repeated the process once, flushing the waste out before putting it back. She seemed to improve yesterday, i gave her vitamins. But she died in her sleep last night :(

    I read up on prolapse and i think that could be it. Im going to get a basin to gently rinse it off and see if it will go back in without much trouble. Im going to use iodine as an antimicrobial since thats what i have on hand and possibly some petroleum jelly. My hope is that there isnt a poop...

    Temp has to be between 99-101 to hatch, so you might want to get a thermometer

    Whats the temperature like? Seems like You would have trouble keeping it stable with such thin walls.
