Updating.. They are almost 100 percent better today .
Two full dose of antibiotics in thier water helped tremendously.
They were all happily chattering this morning with little to no wheezing or sneezing!
Im one happy chicken "mama" today!
2nd one down, size and color is favoring EE.
3/4 pics down do look like austrolorpe's
The only all white chicks Ive ever had were EE's so Im not help with you on those.
The leghorn I have I got as an adult
The 6th picture down a wyndotte maybe?
But Im just guessing.
The last two are very pretty...
No. Ive been keeping a close eye on them.
No drainage at all. Maybe it will develop later?
The one austrolorpe started a day or so before the others.
They seem no worse today or better.
I will try the tylan if no better tom.
Thank you so much for replying.
Im in the same boat, i have 4 out of a small flock of 11 that Im currently treating with antibiotics in thier water with electrolytes since yesterday and Ive posted and I cant get answers. I dont know if I have the right meds, enough of the right dosage etc..
Can someone please advise?!??
How long do I wait to start treating with a different med if this one doesnt help?
When should I notice improvements??
All are still activly being chickens..
Other than the sneezing, shaking/itching at head, wheezy..
Still no signs of drainage.
How would they even...
My leghorn is not short and squatty like this chicken either.. Mine is thinner built and is legger and is built different.
To me, this chicken doesnt scream "leghorn"
But Im by no means an expert:)
Not a leghorn looks nothing like the one i have. They also have big floppy combs.
EE mix? First think I thought when I saw it was looks just like my EE minus the dark legs. :)
Light brahma's will have feathers on their feet even as babies. EE's are brown or have chipmunk like patterns some may have puffy cheeks. Im not sure with your other breeds as Ive never owned them, but that should help some! :) good luck with your new little ones!
