When do duck produce the oil to help swim?
Thank you ours was always in their water and swam after a week and were fine just watch them dry them off and make sure they have dry spots with heat lamp -

Ducks attacking wild birds?
Yes they will. My blue Swede is nice doesn't like to be touched grabbed at. But goes after everything in the yard swamp same with my Rouen hen. It's their area I'd be cautious . Just trying to help. -

Beginning an "Unexpected" Backyard Flock of Rouen Ducks
I have a Rouen and blue Swede male . She's a good egg layer so far. The eggs are fertilized. But I gather them up and refrigerate and use them .and have no probs . They only mate in water
