I thought I’d give an update, the araucana x barred chick is now growing adult feathers and they have a purple sheen! Just wondering if this further indicates anything about it sex wise?

Hi all, I have two recently hatched (just a day old) chicks that I’m wondering can be sexed. There is a lavender ameraucana and another one crossed with a silkie. From what my knowledge is, I’d assume we have a hen and a roo- but I’m not very sure. May anyone help? Thanks!

Hello everybody! My silkie chicks (bring raised by broody hen) have reached 5 weeks today. They hatched on the 8th/9th of June. I know they are still young, but what are your guys ideas on what sex they may be? I am thinking two roosters and one hen. Hatch day and present day Pictures provided!

Today when I went out to see my four hens I noticed that one of them had black on the inside of her eyelid. There was also a little bit of black on her comb. Is this something to be concerned about? I’m worried it’s avian pox. :(
