    Zipping length

Just now my hatched duck decide to rest on it. But I have peeled off all the shell but the the bottom of the egg (pointy side). You can see the little whole where he broke through on his own

We didn’t fully take off the membrane because we were kind of hoping for some kinda of miracle that he would wake up and finish the job in the incubator. Do you think we should fully take it off and check?

I think it was zipping just got stuck. And no bruising, just the shadow of the fan up top. But unfortunately I believe we lost this duck. Not quite sure what to do now

    Zipping length

The baby has made a small hole through the egg. It looks like he is making little chewing motions. We can also hear little peeps. We just worry because it looks like he/she is pushing so hard but the little hole hasn’t gotten bigger and it has been about 18 hours

My little duck has been stuck like this for 18 hours now, pushing constantly only taking short breaks that I have seen. Is there anything to do? My other ducklings hatched in less than an hour.

    Zipping length

New to the hatching process! How long after a duck starts to zip does it fully hatch from the egg? I know it can be a range but wasn’t sure what the range was. (Also not sure if I’m using the terms right but I mean once the duck has fully made a hole in the egg not just a pip) Thank you!!

    Help hatching Duck Eggs

So a very weird hatching story: We rescued these eggs from a neighbor who clearly wasn’t really caring for them. He had them outside in a barn, he believes they are to be around day 20 in the egg cycle. Unfortunately an animal got in somehow (we assume skunk because of the smell) and ate some...
