I have been raising Welsh Harlequins for five years now, and you can tell by 4 weeks what the sex is, and some times by two weeks. You have one female and one male there. They are lovely.

one of our Ameraucana hens laid us a 5 inch egg today! crazy.. the carton could not be closed. LOL

No luck on finding anything on how to cure it.. does any one have some ideas? or should I let mother nature do it's own thing.. see if the chick can live this way or not on it's own? both it's legs are locked at the joints. :( Andrea

Okay thank you! I have been putting the chick to the water fountain for drinks and trying to get it to eat a little bit but no luck there.. I will do some reading on this saddle foot and see if I can save it. Andrea.

I just did a hatch and one of my barred rock chicks was born with both it's legs folded under it. It is not able to stand so it waddles around some what with the other chicks on its stomach. It has been sleeping a lot as well and has a hard time keeping it's head up like the rest of the chicks...

I would say YES! The health and well being of our flock always come first along with the rest of our family. They are well loved and we enjoy seeing them happy. They get fresh whey, mealworms, produce, fruit, home made yogurt, hen scratch and apple vider vin in their water every week. If that's...

That sounds like a good idea! We live on a Golf Island so there is no pet stores here other then our farm store FoxGlove which should have grit. I make yogurt from scratch for my flock once a week so I will give it a try. At how many weeks can I give them bananas, mixed produce ect? All my hens...
