Ok, i dont have pics yet, but just got back from buying like 40 chickens, had to buy the whole lot, saved them from the butcher. My question is, would anyone be interested in some roosters, not sure of the breed, can attempt pics tomorrow evening, south of pittsburgh

I have 4 hens that look similar, 1 has feathers on her feet, couldnt find the other, and 2 are broody, I feared having my arm ripped off and handed back to me if I got too close [/IMG]

Speaking of snakes, anyone else notice their chickens eating them? 2 or 3 occasions this year I've seen my chickens eating them...not big ones, smaller garter snakes

6 from 12, twice as many as earlier in week, the better thing for me is that 15 out of 16 returned to coop without persuasion.

I had a rir that laid a huge egg, similar to yours, i free range my chickens, one morning when i let them out i noticed her moving strange, about 10 feet from her i noticed an egg half way out, couldnt catch her, that evening, the biggest chicken egg i ever got, no egg the next day, dead chicken...
