Wish I had read this BEFORE the purchase of my late Black Copper Maran rooster. He eventually went too aggressive and ended up in the freezer after trying to attack our elderly, super loving/kind cat. (She never met anyone she didn't like.) He also attacked me several times before that fateful...
So sorry this is happening to you. :(
I got mine from Meyer Hatchery and was able to pick both the breed and the gender. It only cost a little more to guarantee sex which is so worth it. You just have to pick the chicks up at your local post office so they don't sit in a truck all day before...
We got our first flock in the late summer 2022. When it was complete, I had five Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte hens, five Easter Egger hens, five Black Copper Maran hens and one Black Copper Maran rooster.

Doomed!
Don't count on them every making friends again. The agressor won't stop until all the other roosters are dead. A horrible way to go.
I'm ran into the same situation. The only choice is to rehome/cull the agressor. I made the mistake of letting them get back together after a little...

I had some hens go broody last summer and sat on the eggs for a while. Then they abandonded them so I put the eggs in a brooder. Of the nine that survived, I got five roosters hatched this past August. I have a coop/run large enough for them all, but the roosters aren't getting along any more...
