Im so sorry for your loss.Are you going to get more chickens to add to the flock? My girls love oatmeal. I make it kinda thick , spread it on a pan & let it cool. You can grind up pumpkin seeds and sprinkle it on the top for an extra treat bonus.

Hello & welcome to BYC. Chickens do great in the cold. Make sure they have a place with cover & not drafty. Some people use a lamp or there are heated water containers you can purchase. Check out the learning center tabs for great info. Best of luck

Very sorry for your loss. Yes they are "just chickens" but they are your chickens. Their life matters too. I adore my chickens . You do need to report the dog. It could happen again or it could bite a person/child next. Best wishes
