My olive egger has the same coloring, no head tuft, but has a beard and puffy cheeks, and so far has laid dark brown pullet eggs.

Let me finish this comment, those pullets started out laying full size eggs at 20-25 wks, BR's now lay 1/2 size eggs, yummy. They are 22 wks.

Same here, she was a buff orpington, every few weeks, no rooster.

Just got our first egg too! One of two barred rocks, a fairy egg but shell is nice and hard, waiting on her sister, an ee and a oe.

I have 2 22 wk old barred rocks, both now have bright red large combs and wattles, coming into POL.

Git a Got a sapphire olive egger in early Feb, beautiful bearded, muffed, rose comb near as I can tell, hasn't started laying yet, so can't verify olive eggs. She is absolutely gorgeous so we will see.

Using metal run, live near Chincoteague, Va, zone 8, but we do get 12 to 18 inches of snow some years.

I'm looking at an elevated coop for my next build, easier to clean for me, no bending down, will only have 8 birds, 5 x 10, will provide support for metal frame during snow, I know 4 x 8 would be a less wasteful build, but not large enough in case of chicken math.

Is that hawk netting only? We just put up a 10 x 20 metal frame, and are waiting for 100 ft of hardware cloth, 1 inch pinion hatch bird netting, metal zip ties, 12 inch ground staples. Chicken wire that came with will be used th remind neighbors where property line, about all it's good for.
