Hi to All Today I did the Epson salt soak and applied the Nu Stock and then returned my hen Betsy to the yard. Now her feet/legs are covered with a thick layer of dirt. Also the consistency resembled a thick salve rather than a lotion. Should I resoak and repeat tomorrow?

Try adding a probiotic mix (Egg Boost) to their water and give them yogurt with probiotics, this has worked well for my girls in the past, esp in the spring when the days are not quite long enough and its been cloudy.

My 2 y/o RIR hen stopped laying for 2 weeks soon after we sent away the 2 evil stepsisters that were picking out her feathers. I started to add probiotics to their water and feeding yoghurt with probiotics and 3 days ago she started to lay again. Prayer helps too!
