Our "head" rooster, Bok Bok, has lost one of his spurs fighting with our "junior" rooster Dot, leaving an exposed piece of skin sticking out. We managed to wash off the raw place with saline water spray, cleaning it as much as possible with gauze, and then applied Blue Kote spray. We've separated the two roosters for now, and will keep them separate until Bok Bok heals a bit. We do have 15 hens, which both roosters have taken up with celebrate), but for now they'll be shared as we can. Does anyone have any suggestions or similar circumstances they've dealt with in the past? Any other medical treatment needed? Thanks so much for your input.
