Came home from a weekend away to a lethargic girl. Thought at first she’d just turned broody. Pushed her off the nest and realized she had bad buildup around her vent (we’d only been gone 2 nights and she was fine Friday). Cleaned her up with a warm water soak and put her back in the coop. Vent is not prolapsed. After a couple hours, checked on her again and she’d messed on herself again. Picture attached. Can anyone tell anything from this unusual “discharge”?

Can you try to get her drinking some fluids, either electrolytes, Gatorade, or water with sugar 1 tsp per 8 ounce cup? If she will drink, then offer some scrambled egg and some watery chicken feed. She is losing fluids in her droppings. Because she looks weak, no more soaks, since it may kill her. How old is she, does she lay eggs? Is her crop empty or full, firm or squishy? Does she have an enlarged lower belly? Do you have any antibiotics?
