So this morning I was out by my chicken run and heard baby chicks in distress, I look in there to see my hens playing keep away with little black chicks, I run in there and rescue two out of the four and start frantically looking for a nest. Turns out one of my OEGB crele hens had burrowed under my turkey house from the chicken run and went broody. I have a lot of chickens and a huge run so I guess I just didn’t notice her missing. Anyway the chicks are solid black with feathered legs and one has a white head spot. The only feathered leg rooster I have is a Black Cochin bantam so I assume he is the sire. Am I correct in thinking these chicks are sex linked? And either way could anyone tell me if any of the color from the hen will bleed through or will I just have a barred rooster and a black hen. Thanks in advance for any answers. Long time lurker first time poster
