I set out round bales for my dogs in the winter. of course the birds love them also but it is a way to have something between the cold ground and their bodies cause they sleep out in the open like the LGD unless it is raining then they move to the barn with the birds.

I been reading up on the Maremma and noticed it is not listed with the AKC but is with the CKC and many other breed registry why is that? i read they came here to the US in the early 1970" do they have to be here along time to be recognized?
