    You might plant a bunch of Marigolds too. I already fenced my garden to keep the chickens out, but if the cats are any clue, rabbits could get in there if they wanted too. I surround my garden, and allow them to volunteer in my garden. They are said to keep numerous pest, including rabbits out.

    Our ground tends to be very loamy with some clay. I added sand where I am planting the carrots.
