Lovely to read all of your garden news. I planted out some tomatoes and capsicums today. I will give away some of the spare seedlings to friends on the weekend.
I would. Try one first and see how it goes.
Interesting. Traditionally, gourds were dried in sand here. I am also trying gourds. I would like my son to try some of the traditional ways of decorating them. This kind of thing...
Yes, my friend waits until they feel "woody", peels green, washes the flesh away from the fibres and dries the exposed fibre on the clothes line. It seems the distractible person in the video you found had similar methods.
Morning All,
I wondered, too. My guess was black-eyed Susans. No idea whether that is correct. Means Best Evidence Synthesis in my trade, so that threw me off for a bit!
I had never considered the possibility of preserving carrots. In my climate, they keep best in the ground until wanted, so I...
Greetings All. I've been continuing to weed, and to plant spring seeds. I've just enjoyed a high-speed skim through your news and photos. I hope to have time to read in a more leisurely way next time.
Greetings Everyone. ;lovely to read all your garden news.

The most common reason for hydrangeas not flowering is pruning too far down, so if you want it to flower more than you want it to go, I can help you to identify the buds to save when you prune. You can see them as soon as it loses its leaves, and often before.
ETA: I guess in climates where...
There are various kinds of water barriers to keep the fruit flies out of fermentation crocks and brewing barrels. They work well for my son's beer, and I must try them for my sourdough starter as the fruit flies are partial to that! You may like to see what's available where you live.
