I think I put the seeds in in early February (don't remember exactly), but they didn't sprout for a long time. This beet came up like 3 weeks before the rest. The others are still small. This one looked good at the base so I decided to pull it.
Today's harvest. I'm tickled about what I've been harvesting considering I can't plant anything outside for another two weeks. Already making zucchini bread and it's barely May.
My greenhouse is new. I planted my first seeds in January and cut my first harvest yesterday. Had a nice salad with lunch. The greenhouse is a real game changer. Normally I wouldn't have anything out of the garden till June.
I got a dwarf banana to go in my new greenhouse when it's ready. Someone told me that bananas don't ripen on the plant. You have to take them off and put them in a paper bag with a fruit that produces ethylene, like an already ripe banana or apple.
