I don't think they mated even though they were together for 5 days. Because most of the time the rooster only tried to find the way out, esp. when another female passes by their pen...

Ok. Btw, it is important to state that even if they (the serama hen and serama rooster) are not kept in the same pen, I see them together in the yard almost all of the time. Usually it's the hen that follows the male. BUT I never saw them mating and never saw the hen squatting for him / he...

I understand. And lets say she keeps squating when we approach her - does it necessarily mean that the roosters don't mate her??

Thank you, I put them together in a pen this morning, but the only thing they are doing now is trying to find the way out to be with the rest of the flock! Don't seem to be interested in mating...... They might feel in prison right now

I thought that maybe because she is small, she will run away from bigger males. Also, the nales might look at her as a chick ..

Also... is there no way the other standard size roosters have mated her so far??

Sure, she is a lovely hen and I want her to hatch her own eggs. By the way is it common for such a young hen to go broody?
