My bad. That doesn't have too many red lines. It's whining about three words that it thinks should be two words, but there are no obvious spelling errors. I will be looking for stuff like: To instead of too There instead of their Though instead of through Recieve instead of receive it's instead...

Writing is not my thing, so probably not, though I might run all of the entries through a spell checker.

For writing contests, we usually use one of the free online word counters like https://wordcounter.net/.

They are very similar. :idunno I have Microsoft Office on my old machine, but I only used it to make growth charts for the birds. @Kiki might know.

:oops: yes I counted manually, and copied & pasted into a word counter and into a spreadsheet, and made notes of the discrepancies.

The word counters are counting things that aren't words. I just counted all of the words and there are 999.
