Yeah, rats are on my radar to keep a close eye out. Pigs are around, but I am far less concerned about them than stray dogs, cats, mongoose, and rats. Not sure how I am going to deal with the bugs other than relying on Google, local farm stores, and the kindness of BYC/friends.

Yeah they are! The Goldens are not standard with their combs and yellow legs, but we love them regardless. We have one Golden boy and a breeding pair of Silvers that seem to be much more aligned with the standard, which is exciting. Unsure if we are going to do anything about it other than look...

Hung out in the new coop with them, encouraging them to explore by sprinkling BSF larva crisps on the ramp, and just generally vibing with them.

Today we pick up our first chicks! The start of our flock, 2 Australorps, 3 Golden Sebrights, and 2 Silver Sebrights! We are considering sneaking in a White Maran and Ameraucana so when they lay, we get some variety <3
