very interesting .never seen that is chooks before I have seen it in pigeon when I was breeding at a young age .
love to see her when she is fully mature , maybe it is a mutation , your line has been in isolation for quite a white now .

@wrathsfarm here some photos of Early feathering and late feathering chicks I took this afternoon . they are 8 days old .
Early feathering type you can pullets ,you can see they have full wing and tail
slow feathering type you can see they only have short wings feathers the rest of the body...
early feathering type when the chicks feather grow very fast .they will have a full wing featheres and a full tail by week 2 some earlier .
slow feathering type the chicks feathers grow very slowly no tail at all till week 6 or later
very slow feathering type no feathers att all only the few...
that is caused by the cold but some time they comb does get darker for no reason maybe some thing we don t understand ,I see it some time in my rooster but will go away after few day .if does stay longer and start to get purplish than it is frost bit ,we don t have it here in Oz @Bantambird has...

filled up my 3 incubator last night ,tonight I changed the pairing in the breeding pens .kept the hens mobs in they pens only changed the roosters ,got ready of one breeeding pens only have5 now all marans .

Solo s and the Columbian group are mixed with the one I scored similar age all doing good ,they start to come out of they broody box ,they don t go far .

the older hatch are doing great 2 group of 12 chicks each all from Rashad pen , plus the first 5 and the one I scored so 3 group total without countaing the newly hatched group different pairing .they are old enough now to go outside but I just don t have room for them yet they passed the heat...
97 hatched total one of died after hatch . rest all strong and healthy .impressed with the fertility of the young roosters ,
here photos of them in they new brooder box I have to build one larger next couple of day they can t stay in this one for long .
