Advice on reintroducing chicks after Illness

For some backstory I have one hen who suddenly had a slightly puffy side of her face and the next morning one more had it. Both were only one side of their face, no eye bubbles, no lethargy, acting normal otherwise, there was a little snot one day and that was it. I thought obviously the worst...

    Respiratory infection?

Anyone? So far she has no discharge from her eyes or nose, and it’s just one side of her face.

    Respiratory infection?

Help! Is this a respiratory infection? I just noticed this poor girls face was a little puffy today. First picture was just a couple days ago and second is today. I noticed she was closing her eye more while sitting on my lap today. She’s eating, drinking, running around and seeming to be...

    Olive egger gender?

I have 7 others who are the same age that I’m fairly positive are all ladies, this one is the only one I can see some little wattles on but she’s also my only olive egger so I don’t have anything to compare her to. They’re at least all still pale so I’m hoping 🤞🏻

    Olive egger gender?

Good to know! I saw some posts saying the 3 rows on the comb can more often mean male so I got a little worried. Everything else with her points to female to me but I wasn’t sure, I’ll have to see once she’s older!

    Olive egger gender?

Just got this baby, woman I got her from said she was quite sure she’s a pullet but you never know. None of my others have a comb like this so wanted to ask opinions, she’s an olive egger 🙂 very sweet so far, I think about 5-6 weeks old, well feathered, skinny legs, comb is still pale just...

    Are these Easter Eggers or..?

They definitely look a bit like the splash! Yes I figure I’ll have a much better idea once they actually start laying. I’ll have to post back here once they do in case this happens to anyone else in the future haha

    Are these Easter Eggers or..?

Their coloring throws me off, some have quite a lot of black spots and their heads are growing in more of an off white color. It’s hard to see in those pictures but it makes it look like their heads are dirty, you can sort of see the difference here lol

    Are these Easter Eggers or..?

I got them from tsc so I’m guessing Hoovers or another close by? California whites have been my top guess but I’m still not positive lol

Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I know this thread is old but wondering if anyone might be able to tell if this one’s a pullet or roo, I know a lot of males can be black and white, this one doesn’t have any red or other colors I can see. So far just black and white and pale comb about 6 weeks old. She does have some green...

I was planning to just fill my coop floor with it so I can do easy poop scooping like a litter box lol

    Coop sand

Thank you! I’m sure I’m over thinking it I just read that anything too fine can cause impacted crop or other issues so now I’m worried trying to figure out what’s TOO fine lol

    Coop sand

Finishing up our coop and wanting to put sand in for easy sifting. I’ve read so many conflicting things I wanted to post here about the “sand” I’m considering. One of my local places has m10 sand which was more coarse than their masonry sand but still sandy. No big chunks in it just like coarse...

    Chick making a strange sound?

If I take her out she doesn’t make the sound, I’ll try turning the lamp off to see if that helps 🙂

    Chick making a strange sound?

Okay! I wasn’t sure when exactly to turn it off, it’s usually around 78° in the cage. Yes! This is a picture of her from yesterday
