    Hey, new chicken owner in southwest Florida

    I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a new chicken owner and looking forward to the experience of raising chickens with my daughter. We just got three pullets from a local small farmer. I have learned so much from this site. Thank you all for the recommendations and suggestions.

    Thanks for posting. I might try the pavers idea, too. What did you do about the pop door on the coop? Did you secure that somehow? Do you mind sharing photos of how you secured the locks on the side doors? I appreciate your help!

    I just put this coop/run together. If I put hardware cloth underneath the whole run/coop, would that be enough to keep predators out at night? The pop door on just the coop doesn’t lock, so I am looking for other ways to secure the hens at night. They will be able to free range during the day...

    Anyone with a coop attached to secure run NOT close the coop door at night?

    I just got this coop and run combo. I have it in a larger run so the hens can have more space during the day. The pop door to the coop doesn’t lock, and I had a similar question to your original one. Can I leave that open if the attached run door is locked? Would I need to put wire underneath it...
