Egg #3, the one I was worried about, has a big external pip - in the wrong end! No wonder it looked wrong last night. Since it was able to pip I’m hopeful it will be able to hatch ok but I’m ready to assist if needed. I had 2 backwards babies last time so I feel pretty confident 🤞

I don’t know anything about pheasants but can you still give it attention throughout the day but also leave it alone sometimes? And then increase the time in between visits (if necessary)? That way it still can maintain its bond with you and develop some independence

I agree with this. You can also use Vaseline if you don’t have coconut oil. If it’s actively bleeding, you can use cornstarch to stop the bleeding.
