    17 week pullet acting funny

Hello chicken keepers everywhere! I have a Sapphire Gem pullet being an odd ball. She’s always been a tad independent, but since free ranging them while I’m home I have noticed that this pullet is Mrs. Independent. She goes on her own little missions away from the crew. She kind of looks...

    Calling all Marans experts!

Update : he’s been trying to mount the other 17 week olds / 16 week old pullets all week. His crowing has improved like crazy in the past week. He’s also started to stop and stare at me. He ran up to my fiance when he spooked a pullet to check it out. (I know this is good somewhat) He’s been...

    Crooked Toes 9wk Easter Egger

Tractor supply ^ and the others do not seem to have issues. I’ll check their feet tonight when they go to roost. So Hoovers which I know they are notorious for issues for chicks sent to rural king and tractor supply.

    Crooked Toes 9wk Easter Egger

Yes, but it takes her a couple tries. I will be sure to watch her feet. I can already tell that the mostly affected side gets dirtier(more gunk on it). That’s a very good suggestion! Mostly worried about her declining the bigger she gets (more weight to support ). I really don’t want to cull...

    Crooked Toes 9wk Easter Egger

Hello All! We have a 9wk old Easter Egger pullet who has crooked toes/ stands funny. She has always had a slight twist in her feet, but for the past couple weeks it has been bothering her more. I thought she was just a little special, and that she was a little deformed, but could it be...

I was encouraged to share my young Cockerel Drogon here! He’s a BCM from Hoovers hatchery. He turned 14 weeks old today 🎉 ***Reminder that he is a hatchery quality and not a breeder quality BCM. He came from the Assorted Marans bin at Rural King. Let me know what y’all think:)

Thank you so so much! I'll have to fatten him up for sure! He's been such a treat! I have enjoyed watching him grow. I took my younger EEs outside to hang out in their exercise/integration pen. Y'all should have seen him! He ran up to the pen with a blade of grass and was clucking at them. He...

I don’t think he’s one of their Easter eggers/ Americanas. I got two midnight majesty Marans pullets with him as well as two blue copper Marans / blue marans. He’s definetly not an mmm because mmm roosters are barred.
