Odd observation, but:
I used to live in SoCal. I did a double-take when looking at the bottom photo. That tile looks like the tile I remember having, and so do the cabinets.
My alpha never goes for it first. She lets the others eat. I think it has to do with her belief I am a rooster. Not to mention recent bullying from Dominica.
I think my In Albis has her natural tendencies in her. She went broody this year. Agathae convinced her.
My Dominiques are food monsters. They know the sounds of the fridge in the back room opening, the scraping of a spoon on a bowl of yogurt, the sound of a plate being set down, and the look...
We have little sparrows here and the chooks tolerate them. But raw meat is too yummy to pass out.
In Albis says we need a supply of baby sparrows instead of mealworms. She got a peck for that comment.
I hope she will. I remembered rat steak and figured she'd be fine.
The most upsetting part of this is that my family has had a bunch of rescued birds lately and I'm sure if this one was alive it would've ended up being rescued.
Also, Gaby just gave In Albis a nice hard peck.
In Albis Ate A Bird.
In Albis found a small, featherless, presumably dead baby bird and ate it before I could stop her. Do you think she'll be ok? Anything I should do? She practically swallowed it.
