    I don’t know anything about quail but the ratio is off and I don’t recommend artificial light (Winter is their natural break)

    Yes we have a heat lamp and had to make an diy incubator for special chick the others are in there own brooder and the special chick is still in the DIY incubator with a heating pad underneath. It is drying off more and is chirping more still no eyes open or major movement here is a picture

    I agree laying mash has different minerals and nutrients than just scratch or corn but then again they are roosters so they don't as much minerals as hens since hens do lay

    My guess is a buff orpington or the buff Plymouth rock (hen) and a cornish rock (meat chicken) (rooster) and 2 golden comets or isa browns (hens) but I'm still learning breeds myself @MysteryChicken might know
