Aw sorry about the black ones. That’s so hard! They’re all so cute. Looks like you have a couple chipmunk coloring ones and I bet the white one with black tipped wings is going to be pretty!!
I’m attaching pictures of my 3 day old silkie chicks. Would love if someone can tell me or give their best guess on what color they’ll be when they’re older! Also can you tell if they’re bearded or not? I’ve labeled the chicks with numbers in red. Thought that may be the best way to organize it...
We did end up euthanizing the chick. So very hard. But helpful to know that several agreed that is what should be done. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I don’t think a vet is an option right now. Maybe tomorrow but right now it’s night time. That’s what I was thinking it was bone. No chance of it healing? I feel sick and so sad. I don’t want it to suffer but also don’t think I can euthanize. I feel terrible I didn’t...
Some silkies hatched yesterday and one more hatched today. He seemed to be doing fine just weaker than the others when he first hatched. Then we realized the other chicks were picking at him to the point of dragging him. We put the chicks in a brooder and put this one back in the incubator. We...
I should add we are in a neighborhood so a big coop and a lot of chickens wouldn’t be allowed. Even though I’d love it! There’s only be 2 maybe 3 silkies in the coop.
