Hey I know this post is kinda old But I was reading it and I thought I would share this , a few months ago I had taken 21 eggs out of the fridge and Hatched them Out of that 19 hatched so I'm not sure how the cold effects the eggs Maybe not as much as we would think it would .

Yea it is worth the wait to 10 or more weeks My next round is going to be smaller and I will wait to like 12 weeks to see If I can get a real nice roaster size But All said and done I got 176 lbs of chicken would have been more if I didn't loose the 10 in the beginning
yup exactly Have your water @ 154 it is perfect temp for a few dunks and swooshes and its ready to pluck if the water is too hot it will cook it and tear the skin , Trial and error on my part I have done a lot of research on line ,

I have to say just because some people raise chickens it doesn't mean they have the stomach to kill them , I have a hard time with my own blood or my kid getting stitches I almost passed out in the hospital and same when I had to have a spider bite on my arm drained I almost hit the floor.
