Ok I can start soaking her when I clean and rebandage. Was planning in cleaning and rebandaging every 1 or 2 days.

Hi there. I'm sorry your hen isn't well. I don't think pulling out the membrane is an issue. The issue is more if you accidentally breaking an egg in her from doing it. But the egg has already broken. It's likely she will be able to expell the rest on her own. Keep making sure she's relaxed...

No it usually doesn't go bad. Do you ever give them their own eggshells as a calcium supplement? You just have to bake it and then crush it. They love it and will eat it up like treats! Mine much prefer the dried eggshells over the oyster shells but I mix them and leave them out together.
