Brenda the barnyard chicken!

Hopefully this is the right section to be asking this in (and not the health one!) but one of our chickens has been making this weird noise. Generally happens when she’s eating and almost sounds like a little cough/sneeze. We’ve only had her for about 2 weeks so I’m not sure if it’s “new”...

We got her off a farm, so they didn't provide a lot of info, and we're kinda just learning all the questions to ask. Black sex link seems to be the most common answer so far, and likely some kind of mix :) Thank you so much!

Hello!! We think so to! I have not heard of that breed, but can see that as well! Her feet/legs are black as well. So excited to see what her eggs look like!

She is from a random farm in Colorado, so I think a mix is likely the more feedback I get. So helpful!

I had read some places that black combs indicated a health issue, but this looks like she was just born this way, right? Overall seems healthy, not laying yet but figure it’s just from the new adjustment to our coop
