I check it often if the water feels warm, I change it. I have smaller waterers that I freeze and put out in their favorite shady areas. I'm trying to figure out how to cool the coop and still keep them safe.

Can they eat the meat of the avocado?

I have a Plymouth Barred Rock that lays eggs like that once a week at least. I tease her about giving me double white eggs rather than double yolks. She's my odd ball. Molly is special

3 eggs from 8 hens, but there was 1 broken egg in the run. I think some of my girls are hiding to lay their eggs. I keep searching though

Love the ideas on items that are good to use. I built my coop from scrap materials. Some came from a local thrift store. I paid $4 for several large pieces of plywood.
